  4. India needs Russian defence products and Russia requires hard cash ; it's pure business. Don't expect Russia to take India's side against China. Today Russia is very much weaker and inferior to China as far as manpower and tech is concerned. India imports $100 billion of critical products including medicines from China without which the economy will suffer - already there are problems due to the shortages due to the covid crisis in Shanghai. Nothing is very simple and straightforward in international politics and relationships as is being made out by dumb experts.
