Thomas's seniority on the court means that he decides who writes the court's opinion when he's in the majority. I understand, with Clarence Thomas on the court, the lowering of the bar between Church and State is on the agenda too. His wife Virginia Thomas's conservative activism and closeness with the Trump administration remains a sore point with the liberals, and rightly so. Utter, complete bias there.
