I have a feeling that this "well regulated militia" business is antiquated to a time and purpose (whatever the original purpose actually was), and bears NO resemblance to the modern hidden militas that came to light after the Oklahoma City bombing. These hidden militas are composed of right-wing extremists and come with a plethora of conspiracy theories. Maybe the time has come to get rid of that "well regulated militia" part of the 2nd Amendment. It has no bearing on modern times, except in the minds of right-wing extremists, like the ones willing to kill abortion doctors, etc.
