I was given Josephus's Antiquities of the Jews by a Jewish professor who went to synagogue. He told me there was mention of Jesus in it, to which I got all excited, being more or less newly Born Again. He advised me, however, to take it with a grain of salt, as Jews (who really ought to know) consider these insertions as later fabrications (by Christians, in order to gain traction). So apparently there are two different editions of the Antiquities -- the older, original Antiquities , and the later, tampered with edition of Antiquities .

There are stories told about Jesus travelling to India. It is said that Jesus was a type of Buddha.

@floydiandreamscapes5145 - Yes, everybody's threatened by everybody else. Doesn't prove Jesus was The Real Thing. Anyway, the Jews aren't threatened. The professor sent me a very amusing joke about how the Jews gave us Einstein, a Jewish carpenter, and some other things. I lost the email though. I thought it was very funny.

@DLAbaoaqu -- I would have to look at all the original material. As that's not going to happen, it's meaningless. And who was the translator? Etc.

in the epilogue of Robert Graves' novel King Jesus , Graves mentioned the inspiration for his novel came from a verse or two from the New Testament where he suddenly saw how the ancient cult of messianic Jews pulled it off. Something in the verses had to do with a hint that Mary had given birth to a son of one of the Romans soldiers. Looking at the verse, I had to admit something looked like it was being kept hidden. I read this novel quite a few years ago and don't remember the Bible verse that impressed Robert Graves. A helluva good novel though.

Absolutely. The Hebrews/Jews usurped older, ancient knowledge, then passed it off as if it was all their own idea.

LOL. Did a double take!

BlueRedAndYellow -- What do you mean cross-dressing? You mean a costume for a Halloween perty? I don't have time to waste doing "research" on nonsense. Give me the links.

@floydiandreamscapes5145 -- Yes, the Romans felt "threatened" -- and rightly so. In the New Testament somewhere (perhaps in Acts) there are some very vivid passages -- so vivid that i felt i was there observing the fires and desyructions -- of Christians burning down pagan temples They were in the act of destroying a learned and superior civilization. ....

@floydiandreamscapes5145 -- Read Catherine Nixby's The Darkening Age subtitled The Christian Destruction of the Classical World

@DLAbaoaqu -- Mere smoke and mirrors, obfuscations, word salads. Your sort's stock-in-trade. Best discarded as rubbish.

@floydiandreamscapes5145 -- It's in the freaking New Testament verses about the Christians burning down the pagan temples, for crissakes. You will have to look it up as I don't have the verses handy. The verses were very vivid about the destruction.
2
@DLAbaoaqu -- A translator inserting annotations by accident? This is suppose to mean...what? Something irrefutable?

@floydiandreamscapes5145 - Don't try to be pulling a Mandela Effect on me. I remember reading those vivid verses.
