I have come to the conclusion, hearing all sides, that Trump did indeed attempt, maybe not so much a coup, but an optical insurrection in which Trump hoped would carry the day, like a rolling stone. But it did get way out of hand. Two things turned me against Trump as a waste: 1. First and foremost the Religious Right barnacles that adhered to him and made him talk their lines, like a biblical talking idol. 2. The footage of that poor police officer being crushed by the rabid mob, trapped between two doors. These extremists are not rabid people I would want to see win.
