One of the greatest failures in World War II history as far as I'm concerned is the fact that they never allowed HMS Hood to go get her refit. I believe after looking at two of the proposed designs for refitting her she would have Shrugged off those heads that were fatal to her from bismarck. What do you think? Also, I don't think that the Japanese heavy carrier at the very end had a snowball's chance in hell for the simple fact is Japan was so desperate to get her out instead of building her right.

@norbertwerner6926 she was actually due for refit back in 1938. Just before the war broke out come to find out also that she was of course the flagship of the royal Navy which meant she went around the world as their Naval Ambassador if you will. Of course that meant she was never at home to get the refit they were planning to do it but then the war broke out, and the rest is history. The kind of refit they were looking at doing was what they did to warspite and queen elizabeth.
