  1. I'll be honest with you, I think it'd be a great idea to stop with the interest on student loans. Pay back the student loan, but get rid of the interest and I think everybody will be happier. Why should we have student loans like a credit card that have interest rates that just makes no sense to me. And just for the record I'm a truck driver, I have no student loans.

  2.  @Blaze_1961  number one, I haven't owned any kind of loans, or debts as far as my job goes. Now I understand a company making a profit. However, I don't see why a student loan should have this outrageous interest rate Which is higher than even sometimes the interest rate on my home payment. I say you get a loan for schooling, pay back that amount. Just an example if you borrow $40,000 cover four years of schooling for a bachelor's degree then I say you should only have to pay back that 40,000. Not spend the rest of your life trying to pay back 40,000 which is now somehow turned into 120,000.

  3.  @rodrod959  I believe you're onto something there partner. Why not give professors the initiative to make bonuses if their students actually graduate with something worthwhile as a major. What I'm saying though wouldn't it be better to have a set interest rate? Instead of going with the flow high or low depending on how the economy is? And yes I agree my tax money also funds public universities as I'm sure you already realize. As a matter of fact, I got two high school boys that are going to graduate two years and three years respectively from their peers because I am paying for a private school. And no, I am not forcing them or even trying to even think about them going to the stupid colleges or universities. I'd rather see them going to a technical college where they can actually put their intelligence and common sense to good use. Thank you for this conversation with no name-calling I really do like this. I wish we could all do this more often.😁
