Yeah it didn't make any sense that it'd be operating in enemy territory alone. So thanks for clearing that anomaly up.

OK all of the sober troops. Are you happy?
6
Well imagine it because that's what you were born for. Cannon fodder!

Forrest S Stereotyping is so popular because it is also incredibly accurate. It turns out that you can judge plenty of books by their covers. No one has time to read them all either.
4
Juan Pena If the media does not stir the pot then they have no soup to eat either.
3
sarah cutter Contacted us long ago? Do you regularly try to contact ant hills in your backyard? Why would aliens want to contact us? The nerve of some people, I swear!
3
How many stars can you see in the sky during the daytime? The light of our star drowns the ones further way out. That is because it is so much closer to us than any others are.

thomas brown There is an ancient Chinese proverb that goes something like this, The parents, and teachers of criminals were hanged.

***** To not believe in ET is to not believe in probabilities. When chances approach infinity an eventual positive is a foregone conclusion then too. No matter what the odds against achieving a positive outcome are. Our chance pool in this case is the Universe too, which for all intents and purposes is infinite. None of this is to say that I believe we have been visited. Because I doubt we have. But to discount the existence of ET somewhere in the cosmos is not something I am willing to do at this time. We are going to have to examine a lot more data before I am willing to consider that. Although it is somewhat troubling that we have found no evidence yet. That could have dire implications for us too. It may very well be that technological societies are doomed to failure? Our very existence could hinge on finding ET someday though. In any event the search for extraterrestrial intelligence is a fundamental problem that we do need to solve.

We should just setup a base on the sun. We can go at night when it is cooler.
2
To be fair he never did say how big the corner was.
2
It actually wasn't as exciting then. Because we did not know what was going on. It looked a lot more routine than it really was.
2
Fusion is the bear that walks halfway out of his cave every day. Unfortunately at that rate he'll never emerge.
2
@irkhanbasc that's the dream. It's still a dream. It'll be great if they can crack it. But I'm not putting any stock in it just yet. It may turn out that it's not possible to do. Conditions are too not right on Earth for it to happen. Nothing is impossible but many things remain highly improbable nevertheless.

Stars are pretty far away. I think the closest one we found that may have a planet orbiting it is 40 light years away? That's really far away. Even at 1% of the speed of light it'd take over a thousand years to reach it. Because you can't immediately accelerate to your top speed. You'd actually reach top speed halfway into the flight and immediately have to start slowing down then. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to stop at your destination. Slowing down takes as much energy as speeding up does. Being in a hurry you had the pedal to the metal the whole trip.
2
@haythamkenway2110 it is going to have to be.
2
@silentkiller4091 That's as long as you feed the reactor enough power to heat 181 kettles. For a net loss of 121.8 kettles of energy.

No fusion has always been 30 years off. If we're only 10 years off now then we've made significant progress in the past 30 years.

***** What about thug brutality? We don't have a video of what happened between Brown and Wilson but I sure wish that we did.
1
Rico Negro I'm sure officer Wilson felt the same way too. I bet he expected Brown to stop the first time he shot him.
1
Javier Tapia The cop was obviously shooting the corpse on the ground to incriminate himself in the resulting investigation. Duh! All of the eyewitnesses will be coming forth shortly to testify that is exactly what they saw too.
1
alan elliot Peanut butter.
1
Javier Tapia There is a third possibility that you have not considered yet. You missed me being sarcastic!
1
Peter GoInYa Yeah, then there's the ones with real character issues.
1
So, what do you think North Korea does with all of their homeless and mentally ill people? Or people they catch pissing on portraits of Kim for that matter?
1
If you are willing to survive by eating grass in the hills we could have greater public works projects. Everything is a trade off.
1
***** Who told you that little green men were millions of light years away? They could be much closer than that to us. The only way we can tell for sure is through effective reconnaissance too. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. ***** Well if it is just a quest for knowledge of dubious value, then I am not sure how behind that I am. Confirming the existence of alien intelligence would surely have far reaching ramifications in our society though. I am certain of that. It would quite literally be the largest discovery of all time. No doubt a true watershed moment for our species. A discovery of such magnitude could potentially lead to world peace. It's that big.
1
***** What you're describing applies the the Internet as a whole.
1
***** The only thing I am seeing here that stands no chance is you staying off my block list.
1
@Elliots_M3 what kind of a pussy are you? A little vaporization never hurt anyone. It'll never hurt you!
1
We did send them a plane load of Javelin missiles. They're way better than RPG.
1
They'll get them with the next shot.
1
Just 181 kettles.
1
@Thankful2bCatholic I'm sure they're working to improve on that. I think that is actually a lot better than what used to be possible. But they're still a long ways off getting fusion into the black.
1
I didn't see any tanks. A tank has a turret and a main gun. No turret or main gun, no tank. Those were armored personnel carriers.
1
If they were getting a net gain they'd be building these things by the train load. They're getting about 33% of the energy out that they're using. So a loss of 66% Winning!
1
I am a big proponent of prehistoric solar power myself. Sometimes called fossil fuel. It's here now and it works!
1
@thehigherman9918 depending on who you believe it's effectively unlimited for us. Unless you're planning on being alive 100 years from now.
1
Baldness cures and dick pills are more important.
1
The inconvenient truth is climate change is a scam.
1
Has Ukraine surrendered yet? Go Russia! сука блять!
1
OK how is this our fault? I couldn't even pick Ukraine out on a map. I have a geographic grasp about as good as Pelosi does. Ukraine, Hungary, they're all the same to me. They do say God invented war so Americans can learn geography. Damned foreigners. I hate 'em all equal like.
1
@wokeaf1337 We could do that over 50 years ago.
1
Every water molecule has two hydrogen atoms in it. So we have a fair amount of hydrogen. It's actually the most abundant element on Earth.
1
We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death
1
We really only had to go once. We crushed the Soviet will with the first landing. They knew we'd beaten them then.
1
Some things don't scale down well.
1
It won't be any different in 20 years. Just like it isn't any different today than it was 20 years ago.
1
Nuclear still is not portable in any practical sense. We use fossil fuel because it has an incredible storage density. It's just a tough act to beat.
