I'm lucky if I can estimate a job by a factor of 4. I always say that if I knew at the outset what I was getting myself involved with I'd never start anything.

I always thought you were supposed to pull the engine out before you rebuilt it. This video has shown me the error of my thinking.

He's deep into the sunk cost now so there's no going back. Wes is just lucky that he's the kind of guy that can make it through. But I bet if he know everything at the outset he'd have never even started. Hopefully he's got it all figured out now. But who knows. That cam reluctor was a real kick in the pants. I'm surprised he didn't just twist it and weld it where it belongs or something.

Well his Dad does have a valve grinding machine. So I think that may be part of it. The simple fact that his Dad actually has a valve grinding machine. Not everyone's father does. So that speaks to who he is. Which consequently had an influence on Wes.

It is a great design. It makes the company lots of money.

@2packs4sure when it was new I'm sure it had five wheels and went. Just like they all do. Which beats walking. So that's why it got bought.

You're using too many letters. That engine is a POS.

Wes' brother has the gift of destruction.

It's believable. It is design by committee. Various departments all had their priorities and this engine is the result of all of that. Meanwhile everyone involved did the minimum to meet all of those requirements. Because it is just a job.
