@bigblockjess617 a smoke wrench is my go to. Heat seized it up so heat frees it up. I glow it up incandescent and then spin it off hot with an impact gun. Comes off like new.

@m1t2a1 in my experience penetrating oil is next to useless when hardware is really seized up. It's not going to penetrate in a reasonable timeframe in those instances. If you have months or years to break stuff apart then sure maybe. But today? Forget about it.

@Chooseyouruniquehandlebyaddin you can pour oil on hardware then heat it up but all that's going to do for you is make oil smoke. Once heated that hardware is going to be bone dry. Which is one reason why you don't want to back and forth with it. While it's hot just get it apart. Because as it cools it'll contract and seize up again. speed is of the essence. That's why I use an impact gun on glowing hardware.

They do seem to know what they're doing. When they were pulling that one gizmo out full of springs I was thinking I'd never get that back together.
