  2.  @stevemcevoy5628  it's not the point of who does it but rather to examine how and when the tools fail. From that some of us can extrapolate a lot of information about construction and materials of the tools themselves. If everything works there's nothing to be learned there. Absolutely nothing at all. No conclusions can be drawn without having seen anything of note. Todd can make other tests that would better reflect real world use but they would be far more difficult to do or to show. What he does is short, sweet and gets the point across. He did not invent destructive testing. It is a widely used method.
