  1.  @tintinlavigne5257  rust would be the issue. Moisture in the air can be absorbed by bare metal. So stripping panels is generally avoided. If you do there's a product called metal prep you're supposed to put on the raw metal before you prime it. Turns the metal blue. Kind of looks like window washer fluid. But it isn't. I think it tints the metal just so you know it's been treated?

  2.  @tintinlavigne5257  stripping paint off body panels causes its own problems. Let's hope you know how to deal with that.
