  1. The Tormek is a slow speed water bath hone stone. That protects the temper of metal compared to a bench grinder. Plus the Tormek has a nice tool rest setup too. Tormeks are a bit spendy though. So you won't find one in my shop. Not unless I can find one cheap. Just the wheel on a Tormek is like $220.

  2. Just get hone stones and learn how to sharpen knives. It's the best bang for the buck.
