  1. The US had to fight a half a world away. So demands on our equipment were different than those of the other combatants who were fighting in their own backyards. We did not use armor like the Axis did either. Plus we did win. So there's that.

  3.  @dukecraig2402  they must have been in some shape. Because we suffered plenty of causalities. What was certainly superior was our ability to supply our troops. We didn't need anything we had to be the best. We had more of it. We proved what Stalin said, quantity has a quality all its own.
