@danielmocsny5066 no way. The Japanese couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. US fire control was far more advanced than what the Japanese possessed. An Iowa class battleship could put shells on targets over the horizon. So the Japanese would have literally been sunk by something they didn't even see. They wouldn't have known what hit them!

Not nearly as freaked out as when they got nuked. During the surrender ceremony there was also a flyover that lasted for hours.
