  2.  @richardhall1667  research suggests that it has to do with resetting a biological clock at the cellular level. For me it is about quality not quantity though and I do love to eat.

  3. I remember in school we read a story about 3 airmen in a raft. I think they only survived about 34 days? Was still a harrowing tale as I can recall. That story was a large part of the reason why I clicked on this video. I thought to myself, I like raft stories.

  5.  @vcv6560  it is not called the open sea for nothing. The sea is basically a desert of water that you can't drink. We are not aquatic creatures so the sea is a hostile environment for us to survive on.

  6. Starving has a way of resetting our biological clocks. I'm surprised he didn't live longer. The free radicals we consume ultimately do kill us.
