That may have happened but it wasn't what doomed blacks in America. That prize belongs to the liberal welfare state. If you reward unwed mothers for having even more children that's a recipe for disaster.

One could say that the civil war was a fight between the industrialized North and the agrarian South over control of cotton. When the South started selling their fiber to England the northern mill owners took exception to their profits being shipped overseas.

Oh woe is me. If you want to know what a hard life is try being white. In Columbia South Carolina when they dug a canal they figured the work was too brutal for blacks so they sent in the Irish to dig it. My people! Not yours. I guess they wanted the job done. If they'd used blacks you'd all probably still be there complaining about it and making excuses.

@HobbsBhipp there is the Potato Famine. When you're starving your options are limited. That event was caused by the British too. There was no actual lack of food. Just a lack of food available for the Irish. The food was forced onto ships and out of the country. Now tell me, who enslaved the blacks? Was it the Dutch running around in the bush with butterfly nets? Or did they just stay on the coast and receive slaves from holding facilities? You strike me as the type that has no idea how enslavement actually worked. The lands that would become the USA received 10% of the African slave trade. Yet they're all we hear about today. Why is that? I know why, but I'm asking you.
