  2.  @rayray8687  wrong. No one's used a physical standard in a long time. A meter is how far light travels in a vacuum in 1/299792458 seconds. There's two kinds of countries on Earth, ones that use the metric system and the one that's put men on the Moon. And don't you forget it. We only did it as a big eff you to the rest of the world. When our astronauts landed they called off altitudes and distances in feet too. Because that's how Americans roll.

We gave you the tech so you can give us something back. Inside every foreigner is an American struggling to get out.
