  2. It is intentions that translate into actions. If we wanted to blow the USSR up we could have did that in 1946. There wasn't a damned thing they could have done about it then either. Due to Soviet expansion at the end of the world war we had to contain the Red menace.

  5.  @agentc7020  every other person that died in World War Two was a Russian. That's not because they were such great fighters. Quite to the contrary in fact. There's no way they'd have stood a chance pushing western Allied forces out of Europe. We would have had air superiority over them too. Even if we had to put German aces into cockpits. Which we would have done. They'd have done it in a heartbeat for us too.

  6.  @agentc7020  Japan also thought distance kept them safe from America. That did not work out for them. I don't think you have any idea just how big the USA's fleet was by the end of the war. We had 72 aircraft carriers alone still sailing on VJ Day. We were building 2 Liberty ships every 3 days. No weekends off.
