  4. The trouble is not everyone wants to get off drugs. If you legalize the substances you'll have even more of them then too. Drugs were all legal once and we saw what that lead to. Which is why they were outlawed in the first place.

The average Portuguese has a lot more self respect than the folks by me do. I hate the this country that country argument. That's apples and oranges. For better and often worse there's nowhere quite like here. So you cannot expect results to be the same. Outcomes will be vastly different.
