+Bike Jake I find your beliefs terribly disturbing. It is greed that drives globalization too. Fences make for good neighbors. I certainly do not want the same things that you do either.

+Bike Jake how are people that take care of themselves greedy? Good lives are a result of being rewarded for contributions too. That's where good lives come from. Anyone capable of working for it can have it.

+Bike Jake so now you make a case for draft dodgers, do you? What if everyone dodged the draft, where would we be then? I'll tell you where, at the mercy of the one man that showed up to fight, that's where! Military service certainly did not ruin Adolf Hitler's prospects in life. Hiding behind a wall? You do not understand what a wall is for. The wall is just to keep riffraff out. It is not for us to hide behind, but rather to dissuade them from coming here in the first place. Because it is a greater nuisance to round them up then. We are all products of our individual effort. Everyone rises to the station they deserve in life. Potential is meaningless unless realized. The deserving few fight for everything that they achieve. The rest land in the gutter where they belong. It is lonely at the top because the struggle to get there is arduous, so few manage it. Not everyone can be on top. There are more positions at the bottom for the masses to fill. People need to accept their lot in life. The struggle to survive is eternal. There is no evolving past nature for us.

+Bike Jake well there you go. If you're at the top then you've nothing to complain about. It would be nice if everyone could have 5 homes and a fleet of luxury automobiles but we simply lack the resources for all of that. So some have to get by with less.

+CrazyeyesDark as the lady said, it is a song of great social and political import. Oh Lord won't you buy me a color TV. Dialing for Dollars is trying to find me. I'll wait for delivery each day until three
2
+Bike Jake if you seriously think that we do possess the resources to cradle everyone in the lap of luxury then your preponderance of ignorance is staggering indeed. We actually do not possess the resources to sustainably continue what we're doing today. Yet you for some inexplicable reason think we can burn up even more of this planet. I'm sorry if the race to the bottom isn't going fast enough for you now.

+Bike Jake an unavoidable truth in this world is that everyone gets exactly what they deserve, no more, and no less. So don't worry. The bitch named karma is an equal opportunist.

Well, if you point a laser at one of the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment apparatus you can get a reflection from it. We've been doing it for 50 years now. But it is technically challenging to do. The Moon is pretty far away after all.

The government did not fund the development of radio, or the wheel for that matter.

It's all a waste of money.

+Bike Jake the last times the US had a weak military we had World Wars One, and Two. Maybe you'd like to see those times return? When a significant fraction of the entire world's population was dying as a direct result of military conflict. There's certainly advantages to it I suppose?
