It won't be just one H bomb. It will be tens of thousands.

@DillonRust temperature is not the greatest hazard. Radiation is. People in bunkers won't fare too well either. We've tried it and it simply doesn't work. Even in ideal circumstances the psyche breaks down. People just go nuts. It is also technologically beyond us to create closed systems where we can survive. Again even with virtually unlimited resources we simply cannot do it.

@DillonRust no war has any winners.

@patrikpass2962 You worked sun up to sun down. You didn't get time off in the winter either. In the winter you'd weave. You'd be too cold to want to sleep or just do nothing anyways.

@patrikpass2962 today we exploit energy resources to do work for us. It matters more than one may think. We're just not capable of doing very much physical work. One horsepower is lifting 33,000 pounds a foot in the air in a minute. That's a lot of effort. An average human is capable of outputting about 1/10th of a HP continuously over a long duration. I can easily hold a tenth HP motor in the palm of my hand. It would be a small device. And really over the long run it could easily outwork me too. It could run 24/7 for days or weeks at a time. Which I certainly cannot do.

@patrikpass2962 I think there's normally more than one person involved. Today you have to consider the sheer amount of paperwork involved with running a farm operation.

@patrikpass2962 family implies more than one individual. So not exactly "by yourself".

@patrikpass2962 who do you think worked less than 8 hours a day with better living conditions? Not people in the Dark Ages I hope!
1
@patrikpass2962 who are you talking about?

@patrikpass2962 I'm not sifting through 27 comments looking for context. You may not be aware of this but the way YouTube threads comments sucks! I'm fairly confident they do it intentionally too. When every other forum that's ever existed can manage to do it better.

@patrikpass2962 I would not say I don't care. I do care. Just not enough to sift through comments.

@patrikpass2962 I'm just trying to get a straight answer out of you.

No the radioactive fallout will kill everything. Ionizing radiation destroys life on a cellular level.
1
@JKozlovable don't believe it. Radiation kills simple life the same way it kills the complex. Ionizing radiation is used as a sterilization method. So simple life does not get a pass. Radioactive material is incredibly poisonous. Duh! The post apocalyptic trope is a bunch of BS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCbfMkh940Q

@JKozlovable nuclear armageddon is far worse than most realize. There'll be enough nuclear fallout to kill everything on this planet ten times over and the planet will remain lethal for thousands of years. There won't be any post apocalyptic warriors wandering the wasteland, that's for sure.

@IXSuperRadGamerXI that's what's referred to as, smooth brained.

@JKozlovable I've seen the media that gives people the wrong impression. The reality is really too horrible to contemplate so I understand why folks won't. The popular narrative is about as real as the Easter Bunny is though.
