But why don't you explain what the joke was about? Because Puerto Rico is genuinely facing serious landfill problems. That were brought on by liberal policies. No you're counting on your audience being ignorant. Which is a safe bet. How shrewd of you. A lie of omission. Well played mainstream media. Some of us see through you though.

Yeah I bet he got the joke. He's been to Puerto Rico. So he's aware of the trash issue. Islands do face challenges dealing with landfill. That's reality.
6
Because that doesn't serve them to do. These people only serve their own self interests.

It's worse than that. They could have spent two minutes and gotten context for the joke. Anyone can. But they're counting on their audience not doing that. They're certainly not going to inform anyone about Puerto Rico's ongoing landfill issues.

@emilioportillo7429 Puerto Rico is a US territory so they're not just any latinos. They're American latinos. Some act in 1917 made them automatic citizens by birth. So I imagine they feel like they've got a leg up over most other latinos. They don't have to enter the US illegally. They're entitled. But at the same time they are disenfranchised. Just being a territory they don't get voting representation. Which is why no politician panders to Puerto Rico. It's an interesting situation.

Trump has nothing to apologize for. Trump didn't cause the issues Puerto Rico is facing today. But if Trump gets into office he might be able to help some. Which is more than the liberals have done in decades now. One of those issues is trash. For real. When you're living on an island trash is a serious issue.
2
Their true crime was not explaining what the joke was about. They're letting their audience make incorrect assumptions and not informing them as they should. If you do a web search for Puerto Rico landfill issues you are going to see a lot of serious articles on the topic. The island literally has a trash problem. No joke.
2
That actually happened. When Biden got in he halted construction and the materials stockpiled for the job were stolen. So it's not even a joke. Ha ha ha they stole our tax dollars.

I bet you also don't know what the joke was about and completely misconstrued the meaning. I would bet serious money on that wager. What do you know of Puerto Rico's ongoing landfill issues? Their literal trash problem.

We also have to remember that Puerto Rico is a US territory. So if the place it a dump it's our responsibility to clean it up. It's literally our land. Unfortunately. We've been trying to change that. So far without success. Maybe if we make it real nice they'll finally vote for independence? It's worth a shot.

Puerto Rico is a US territory. So that makes it our responsibility. We'd like to help many places but we're actually obligated to help Puerto Rico. So if Puerto Rico is a dump that's our fault. Not their fault. It's a dig on us, not them. I would think every Puerto Rican would be jumping up and down saying, This! Fix our island. Which technically is our island. We've been trying to divest ourselves of Puerto Rico but so far the locals aren't going for it. For some odd reason they have to agree to becoming independent. We can't just walk away like a deadbeat Dad. I guess because we can't hide where they can't find us? For whatever reason it simply isn't an option. So every 10 years we force them to vote on independence. They're always like, No bro we good. From what I hear last time it was close. As bad as it is they still get some good benefits being a US territory. That's not to say we couldn't be doing a whole lot better by them though.
1
@mr.yellowstrat3352 ignoring some problems has that effect. It doesn't make them go away, they just get worse. Ignoring Puerto Rico seems to be our solution to the place though. But if the Democrats want to have a conversation about it I say bring it on.
1
I would think that all Puerto Ricans would be in support of shining a light on the plight of the island. Being a US territory it is our responsibility. So if the place is a dump we need to clean it up. From what I've read there is room for improvement. I've actually heard some very concerning things.
1
So what do you think should happen to whoever ordered the bioattack? COVID was no accident. Accidents don't happen in level 4 biolabs in totalitarian states. We know today Fauci was in on the development of the bug. I'm sure others in the US deep state knew about it too. Did they give the go order? Trump didn't sabotage himself. We can safely rule him out. Trump's adversaries stood to gain much with the pandemic though.
1
The comedian really didn't either. Puerto Rico literally has a problem with trash. It's pretty common on islands really. The thing with Puerto Rico though is it's our problem. It is a protectorate of ours. Until that changes we're responsible for it. We've been trying to change it. So far the Puerto Ricans aren't buying it though.
1
A joke that's founded in reality no less. Puerto Rico actually has endemic landfill issues. Which if not addressed the island will quite literally be covered in trash.
1
We don't know who stole the barrier supplies. They may have been Mexicans. They may have been Americans too though. But yeah when Joe took office he let all the supplies for the barrier get stolen. So that happened. It's not even a joke.
1
Actually it is an issue we should address. Waste on Puerto Rico is seriously mismanaged. The whole island is a mess.
1
@CharlesStewart-f4b no problem gets solved unless it gets acknowledged. Solving problems is a process. Step one is admitting there is a problem. Right now our solution to Puerto Rico is ignoring it. Which is not a totally effective solution. It doesn't work for the inhabitants of Puerto Rico for instance. It seems to work for citizens of US states though. Because many in the comments here are completely clueless about Puerto Rico and what's going on. Do they even know that Puerto Rico is a US territory and every Puerto Rican is a US citizen? I'm not sure they do. Puerto Rico is most definitely our problem. If it's a pile of trash then it's our pile of trash. We are wholly responsible for cleaning it up too.
1
Actually if you look into it there is an issue he was addressing. That joke is based in reality. Puerto Rico has a genuine trash problem that's been caused by liberal policies. An actual refuse issue. Which if not addressed the whole island will be covered in literal trash. Go look up Puerto Rico landfill issues. The mainstream media is counting on your ignorance.
1
@emilioportillo7429 well, Puerto Rico is a US territory. Every Puerto Rican is an American citizen too. That's pretty funny, isn't it? The whole situation there is comical really. They're independently governed and have no voting representation. But they do get to send representatives to Congress. It's a mess. Puerto Rico is our red headed step child. It's not something Americans really think about. But maybe we should. Millions of people live there.
1
Puerto Ricans probably got the joke. It's continental Americans that lack the information. Why would an American know about Puerto Rico's ongoing landfill issues? Which if not addressed the whole island will literally be covered in trash at the rate things are going.
