  4. The bodies were left right in the middle of the road along with two vehicles so I am sure someone would have come across them eventually.

  5. You are confusing law enforcement with the judicial system. They're two different things. One catches them and the other tries and punishes them. The cops caught TJ plenty of times. The courts just never did much about it.

  9. @Steve it isn't just Florida. It is normal to heap charges on defendants just to overwhelm and intimidate them. It is a tactic the legal system uses to assert control over citizens. They bury you then show you a bit of light to guide you in the direction they want you to go. It is normal for people to take the path of least resistance. DAs are people too. They know what they want to do so they take the easiest way of getting it.

  10. 3 strikes is a California thing. This happened in Florida. So other side of the country. I don't even know if Cali still has the 3 strikes policy? Was considered pretty cruel by most.

  12. TJ claimed one of the kids sold the engine out of his pickup truck before he shot him dead. He killed the other two just because they were there. So wrong place at the wrong time. If any of that story is to be believed. I am not sure what TJ expected to gain by shooting anyone. Putting bullets into folks don't make truck engines come out of them.

  13. The Sheriff says it was over an engine in a pickup truck. But no one's verified that story yet. If TJ was dealing meth he sure couldn't figure out how to profit from the business. As he was living in a compound in the woods off the grid with no electricity or running water. So pretty rough.

  14. The world was certainly TJ's oyster. Living in the backwoods with no running water or electricity like he was doing. The judges probably figured the worst thing they could do to the guy was to just send him back home.

  18. What city? Did you watch the video? This is the middle of nowhere. It's a swamp. The town got a McDonalds, a lumber store and a Little Dixie. When strangers drive through they probably play Dueling Banjos on the town PA system. Just for the atmosphere.

  19.  @maxpain1947  what city? If you blink driving through Frostproof you'll miss it. Sitting between two lakes they practically do live on an island too. The castaways of Gilligans Island entertained more outsiders than Frostproof gets. The place makes Podunk look like the nexus of the universe. Maybe you should check it out on Google maps. It's there.

  21.  @debbiehogue6957  some acts are just senseless too. That seems entirely the case here. A tragic crime committed by a disturbed individual. It happens. The only thing to come out of all of this is an object lesson for all who find out about it of just how tenuous our existence really is. One moment you're going fishing with your friends and the next you're shot dead for no good reason and by no fault of your own. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  27. In Florida they're going to push to fry TJ for sure. FL is a capital state. That's where they killed Ted Bundy. They wouldn't even extradite him. They were like nope, we'll take out the trash here.

  28.  @saradecapua3264  you get used to the heat. At least I could when I was younger. On really hot days we'd put Gatorade in the water coolers and pop salt tablets. Gotta keep them electrolytes up in the body then. I hear its what plants crave.

  34.  @sickofthebs93  from what I hear TJ is claiming to be the victim of a robbery. Although just how one goes about stealing a truck engine I am not clear on. I always thought engines were fairly firmly attached to the vehicles they're installed in. A bit on the weighty side sometimes if you could manage to free it up too. So grand theft engine is a new one on me.
