  2.  @killiemon  a president is not above the law. A president is the law. They're like Judge Dredd in that regard. Their official title is chief of the executive branch and Commander in Chief of the Armed forces. They're not kings but damned close to it. Washington declined being declared a king. But he was offered it. Since the nuclear Age US presidents are gods. They don't have to ask anyone to destroy the world. They say give me the football and it is done. No one can countermand their order. So laugh about that.
