  7. New hardware is never a wise choice with Linux. That's pretty much true with any OS really. It is a bad idea in general to be an early adopter of anything.

  8. Linux is an OS. Game developers do not target the Linux platform though. That is an economic thing. Linux is simply too complex with too small a user base to make it financially viable to support.
