It is no boast when you are merely stating the facts. Trump is still winning too.

Intelligence is not knowledge. A lot of people do tend to confuse the two though.

@50shekels I clearly did not. You had difficulty expressing yourself though. Perhaps more hard work and discipline is in order?

He did write a letter to FDR that got the project going though. Leo Szilard visited Einstein and talked him into doing it. I doubt Einstein was all that disappointed that it happened either.

The chemist that developed the glue on Post It notes was actually trying to make a strong glue. But as everyone knows that's ever used a Post It note the stuff barely sticks at all. So their genius was failing then redefining success.

Tesla might not be interested in that work. Smart people are just like trained apes except without the training. So they don't just perform on command. BTW Tesla never really had to test any of his ideas. Although he did sometimes just to be sure. Tesla's genius was to be able to imagine something in its entirety. He did not stumble onto his inventions through the process of iteration. He hatched them fully formed. When he applied for his AC patents he laid it all out right then and there.

@Famous guy for being unknown perhaps. We all do not start out with the same gray matter to work with though. They say that you cannot train a pigeon to play chess.

It does not matter how many people are on Earth at any given point in time. The pool is anyone that's been on, is or could be on Earth at any time. You could do something and say, Wow that's a one in a million shot. That doesn't mean you tried it 999,999 times already. Just that you witnessed a statistical improbability.

If Tesla was such a genius he wouldn't have fallen in love with a pigeon in a park or died a penniless pauper like he did either.

@TeoTheZethronOne I am quite familiar with the accomplishments of Man. As far as Da Vinci goes I own a copy of the 1956 Reynal & Co. complete edition. I've two bios on Tesla in my library too. Fools such as yourself do not inspire great feelings in me either.

Remember none of them old timers figured out how to outsmart death. You're still kicking too. So you got that going for you.

Whoever made this didn't put themselves in the video.

@georgewashington2893 they did not judge it. They merely compiled it into a video. they likely just googled, smartest people that ever lived or some such. With a million and a half views they made some coin doing it too.
1
@georgewashington2893 make of it what you will. If everything has to be absolutely black and white for you to find use for it then that is your loss.

Yeah that and $2.75 will get him a cup of coffee at Starbucks too.

Color outside the lines.

If it is as inaccurate as you say then come up with something better, Einstein. While you're working on that we'll just keep using what we have now.

I just wonder what she dressed up as to get on the show.

It is never about how smart you are. It is all about what you do with the smarts that you got.

There is just as much to be discovered today as there ever was. Because the unknown will always be infinite. In fact the more we discover the easier it is to determine that which needs to be discovered. Sort of a negative space problem. You can draw an object by drawing everything around it that is not the object. That will reveal the missing puzzle piece.

@Will-uj7yu oh people would care. Everyone wants their portable devices.
1
@5wisher5weet there is an infinite number discoveries to be made. So there are just as many things to discover today as there ever were. Every discovery just raises more questions. The most significant questions have not even been posed yet, let alone answered. Mystery and wonder is all around us.

Reality is as we perceive it and to some extent shape it to be. The people that created Ironman weren't as capable as their fictional character was. But regardless they managed to make a fortune from just the idea anyways.
