  3.  @thomasmarren2354  I find Times New Roman a bit fatiguing to look at. Serif fonts always are. Plus Times looks dated and is not particularly clean in appearance. It's "old timey".

  5. There's nothing wrong with it. I'm pretty sure I'm rendering this page with Arial now.

  6.  @ryadh456  there's actually some pretty interesting stories about computer fonts. When this guy said Microsoft licensed fonts that wasn't entirely accurate. There was a lot of fast and loose piracy going on. There was a time when font foundries actually were profitable. Not so much today.
