  2. They most certainly were. Perhaps it is the concept of discovery itself that you struggle to comprehend? Things existing do not preclude them from being discovered. On the contrary existence is a prerequisite of discovery.

  3. Now that I am looking at it on the map I think I have driven through where Agloe is supposed to be. We used to go to a motocross race just north of there in a town called Unadilla. Small world.

  4. While others may have discovered the Americas for themselves before Christopher Columbus did what none of those others did was share their discovery with the world. So in failing to do that they also miss out on getting credit for their discovery.
