I had a lot of freezes and it was resolved by removing Windows. Get an OS that can run. What you're talking about is beyond unacceptable. You do know that, don't you? I have 5 kernels with all of their associated drivers installed and my OS is smart enough to only try to run one matched set at a time.

@blarghinatelazer9394 I tried to not name names. But you have found me out. Linux was built from the ground up to be an OS. No one was trying to get rich. Some folks still did though. Not Bill Gates rich but they did OK. Linus didn't ask for that Red Hat stock but when they gave it to him he took it. Later IBM bought Red Hat for 32 billion dollars. So yeah he made a couple bucks.

@dev_hazelify Yeah so far I've been pretty lucky running Linux. I don't do much maintenance. I let the maintainers of the distro I use handle that. What they put out is very reliable. It just works.

If your computer is freezing try putting a blanket on it. That should keep it warm. Or you could just run Linux. $ uptime 18:41:59 up 93 days, 14:54, 6 users, load average: 0.19, 0.21, 0.15
