  1. if you want an instant scroll of gibberish lsof (list open files) is nice. I couldn't even stop cat /dev/urandom on my PC so that's no fun anymore. Stuff was going by so fast it wasn't even interesting either. Kind of terrifying really. strace `which bash` (those are backwards quotes) is pretty hackerish gibberish. ctrl+d stops it.

  2. nmap is a genuine hacking tool. I remember before nmap became respectable.
