I'd think southern Antarctica would be the pole, wouldn't it? It's the only continent where the southernmost point would be in the middle of it. Anything along the edge would be the north.

The falls are in a remote location and most folks there are too busy freezing to death to do much else.

They built ramps. Back then folks didn't have a lot to do to pass the time so they stacked rocks up. It wasn't like they could watch Netflix.

The triangle just happens to be where a lot of people try to travel. If you start out with a large number and a certain percentage of that number don't make it then you end up with a lot of victims. But statistically comparing it with anywhere else the percentage is the same. A little bit of a lot is still a lot.

@naynay2217 statistically the triangle has no more accidents than anywhere else does. What the triangle has more of is people trying to get through it. A certain percentage of them are unsuccessful. A little of a lot is still a lot.

@naynay2217 if there was something there we'd have found it. Well, there's something there. There's water, reefs and bad weather. There's a buoy out there with a camera on it so you can look at it yourself. NOAA has a webpage with a map of all of their buoys on it. A lot of them have webcams that stream. Weird, I know. That's the times we're living in. At least the bouys don't beg for tips.

Yeah it was an early form of workfare.

I heard they just exhausted their resources building those stupid heads. They were obsessed over those heads. They thought if they just had enough of them they'd have some kind of power or something. Turns out they just had a lot of useless giant rock heads. Which served absolutely no practical use. You can't live in one or eat it.

The Mayans were victims of climate change and that's why we have to take your gas range away from you today.

Stonehenge was built in 1958 using modern heavy machinery. There's pictures of them doing it and everything. At least that's how the Stonehenge you can see today was built. Maybe there was an ancient one too? But if there was it's still not the site as it is today.
