Get our quart of beer in a brown paper bag and be degenerate on the sidewalk. Or we'd hit the bus terminal to listen to schitzos ramble. Laugh at the hustlers in Times Square trying to sell us rat poison. That's how I spent my youth. NYC was a crazy place in the 80s. After 911 I got out of the metro area though. It got a bit too crazy. I watched the second tower fall in person. I even have pictures.
