Not one shred of evidence is provided to back up any claim made here that Intel Management Engine is used to spy on anyone. Has a single packet ever been captured to prove anything claimed here? If any of this was true Intel would be ruined as a company. Why would they do that? Throw away billions and ultimately trillions of dollars of profit, for what?

That's not how it happened. After Microsoft lost the United States v. Microsoft Corp antitrust case the government had a lot of leverage over Microsoft then. At that time they could have demanded Microsoft do anything, and Microsoft would have had to comply.
