  3. If my idle temps were 20 degrees lower they'd be below ambient. WTF are you doing wrong in the first place? Hottest core Core 1: +29.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) And my PC isn't even idling.

  7. You had it at hit it. You just hit the board with a good rap and loose junk should fly off of it. I do it stripping boards. I heat the board up over a solder pot then real quick before the solder solidifies I slap it in an empty cardboard box. Solder and parts go flying into the box. With liquid metal you could take your time even. It is not like the stuff is going to solidify.

  8.  @imchris5000  the CPU in my PC is in decidedly the vertical orientation. Which has to be just about the worst angle going for retaining a fluid.

  10. Louis clearly does not know about the heat it and beat it technique of conductor removal. Which in the case of liquid metal you can skip the heat it step. Because as the name implies liquid metal is already in the liquid state. You just take an empty cardboard box and beat the board on the inside wall of the box. Boom all heavy liquid metal flies off of it. The beauty of solid state is that it is in a solid state.
