  2. Companies have the right to keep trade secrets. Your rights end where another's begin. They invested their resources to develop their intellectual property. It being their property they can do with it as they see fit. I know it sucks if someone else has what you want but that's life. It sucks worse when entities are compelled to relinquish what's theirs against their will.

  3. Real farmers farm. They know nothing about technologically sophisticated hardware. You can't fix a microcontroller with baling wire. We are beyond the time when mechanical aptitude will get you by.

  5. Then go get trained by the manufacturer to be a certified technician. A farmer has that option too. Otherwise keep your ham fists out of their products. What you screw up can reflect poorly on their reputation.

  6. If farmers are on a schedule they can schedule maintenance before they intend to use their equipment. I'm sure authorized repair centers offer appointments.
