Edison lived his quote, "Genius is 1 Percent Inspiration and 99 Percent Perspiration". He was not a very smart man, but he made up for his shortcoming through hard work.

@kylepietrusiewicz2749 did Tesla waste his investor's money or did the world waste Tesla's time? The reason we do not have free wireless power today is that no one could see any way to make money on it. Not because Tesla couldn't deliver it.

Edison did not like alternating current and consequently he never supported it. So how could Edison steal something he never promoted or used?

@kylepietrusiewicz2749 Tesla should have been wildly independently wealthy with his invention of alternating current. But Westinghouse swindled him. So why shouldn't Tesla swindle a few folks himself? What comes around goes around.

@kylepietrusiewicz2749 hired to do work for a company? Who hired whom to do what precisely? Tesla never worked for Westinghouse. Tesla had AC theory worked out completely on his own before he ever emigrated to the USA. It was entirely his own intellectual property. The only one that can get any credit was one of Tesla's teachers that by saying it was impossible planted the seed in Tesla's mind. There wasn't a human in the world that was even contemplating alternating current. Most folks today can't even wrap their heads around how it works.
