  1. Making hydrogen with electricity is like changing dollars for pesos at a one to one exchange rate. You are giving up high value energy for a low value fuel. If you want hydrogen then get it in a hydrocarbon like natural gas or gasoline. It has more hydrogen in it than hydrogen gas does. Because chemistry! BTW natural gas is reacted to make hydrogen gas commercially. Those people actually want to see a profit so they're going to produce the most economical way possible.

  2. An internal combustion engine runs on mostly air now. The optimal mix is 14 parts air to one part fuel. So you're burning mostly air. Air inlet big, fuel inlet small.
