It was pretty intense. We called it our Disney World. Paid your $3 toll for the fun.

I remember the first time I went to 42nd St. A kid I knew wanted to buy a switchblade so we hopped on the train and went there. We got off the subway and this guy tried to sell us a manila baggie of something he claimed was cocaine for $5. We figured it had to be rat poison. We were all like, no man it's cool. We were maybe 15 at the time? That must have been 1979. We were young but we weren't goofy.

I hung out in NYC myself back then. It was a crazy place. That's why we went there.

The early 80s is when I hung out in NYC. Was a fun place.

Some people just lack empathy. I got psychoanalyzed as a kid and I didn't have any. It wasn't due to any choice I'd made either. The shrink called me, cold fish. Just the way it is. You should have some compassion yourself. You heartless bastard!

Probably not. I don't remember DMT being a thing there back then. Was junk, coke, weed, acid, mescaline, speed and PCP but no DMT. Somehow we managed without it.

I was in NYC during a blizzard once. That effectively shut the place down. Was the only time I was ever there when it was what I'd call peaceful. Was two thirty in the morning and there was over a foot of snow on the roads. That's what it takes.

He's just a lucky guy. It took me years to see my first murder in NYC. I saw a lot of crazy stuff there though.

I was in a car with the ex manager of Windows on the World once and we came out of the Holland tunnel then we asked the girl that was with us where the book store she wanted to go to was. She said 112th St. We looked at each other and he didn't stop until around 53rd. We were going up 6th Ave I think it was doing about 50 MPH at times. Avoiding dumb asses double and even triple parked.
