  2. I doubt if anyone entirely understands how the Antikythera Mechanism works. There isn't much of it left today to figure it out.

  6.  @bbb462cid  it seems you've misunderstood what I was attempting to convey. To put it plainly I was saying you are better off trying to navigate afloat, than you are sunk. I in no way was suggesting that navigation would keep you afloat though. You're going to have to accomplish that by other means.

  8. The Antikythera Mechanism was discovered long ago but was not really studied until a much later date. Today we have theories about how it works but I am not sure if any of that is definitive.
