  1. Within 3 weeks of civilization collapse 90% of the population would be dead. Cause of death confusion. The few that survive would be more lucky than skilled or prepared.

  2. You've obviously never been in a grocery store the day after a holiday. They're pretty much wiped out then before they get restocked. With no electricity any perishable items would be bad in days.

  3. @David Miller in general areas in the USA have a 3 day supply of food on hand at any given moment. It really is a limited thing. We run our food stock in an on demand manner. It is efficient. But it also predicates itself on tomorrow being much like yesterday was too.
