One of my favorite scenes in Forrest Gump is when the drill sergeant called Gump a genius.   5. The US Army gets their way because 80% of the US military is the US Army. The other military branches are essentially subsidiaries of the US Army. Like the Army Air Corps. Sure it is spun off into the Air Force today but come on. They're army guys that fly around. The Navy is army guys that boat.
