+Amri Steve Good luck staying alive long enough that you'd need to field strip the firearm. When it jambs you can still use it as a club. Probably works better that way anyways.

+toby Hogan The only way a T-34 had a chance of stopping a Tiger was to park two on top of the Tiger. Which the Russians actually did.

toby Hogan The problem with that is a Tiger can kill a T-34 at about 2000M The only reason the Germans lost at Kursk is because the British gave Stalin the German attack plan. Then the Soviets had months to prepare tank traps. They had defenses 5 miles deep by the time the Germans attacked. At that it was still a close battle. The German attack was delayed because Hitler wanted to use the new Panther tank at Kursk. But it was not ready, and was still a piece of shit in combat when it arrived. Most were lost due to mechanical breakdowns.

toby Hogan in The Battle of the Bulge I believe the Germans fielded 224 King Tiger 2 tanks. Which made them not nearly as rare as the soldiers that faced them wished they were. Because in a single morning a Tiger Royale could pick off two dozen Shermans before breakfast. Some did too.

Nathaniel Culbertson Well the German heavy tanks were the most feared on the battlefield. They just did not have enough of them, or any air cover to protect them with either. Or fuel, or ammunition, or troops to man them. But past all of those shortcomings the heavy German armor still acquitted itself well in the field.

toby Hogan I thought the Allies used air superiority to destroy a lot of German equipment? Allied doctrine was a lot different than what the Germans did.
