  2.  @Heldn100  if you say Windows is great then Windows is great as far as you're concerned and that's great. Not everyone is the same though. Personally I wouldn't characterize any OS as great. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. So everyone should use what works best for them.

  3.  @mvandios  when shoes break I fix them. Then they last for years afterwards. Which makes fixing them worth it to me. I fix them how they should have been made in the first place. I hand sew the soles on. Which is pretty tedious to do. But I don't mind.

  4. Because the industry puts those hoops in Linux users way. People shouldn't want to run proprietary closed source Windows software on Linux. Yet they do. So doing that is a bit tricky. It is not just anything either. Native applications just work. It's when people go off the reservation that they have problems.

  5. I'd say it depends on the shoes. Sneakers maybe yeah. I've spent more than $150 on a pair of boots though.

  7. Nvidia was the first hardware manufacturer to support Linux on the PC. So you heard wrong. Nvidia supported Linux LONG before AMD did. So get out of here with your johnny come lately also ran AMD crap. I was running accelerated on Linux before AMD even bought ATI.

  8. If you're triple A gaming Windows is the best OS choice I'd think. All of those games are designed to work on Windows. So it is no surprise they work better on Windows. It is amazing Linux can run any of them at all in any capacity. Let alone at a parity level with Windows.
