  3. I'm now realising how many people I knew that knew the people Goodfellas was based on. I grew up in a time and place where there were a lot of mobsters. I heard people talking about Tommy Two Guns. I didn't know he was the Tommy in Goodfellas though.

  4. When you're made you're somebody. If you're not you're just the hired help. Tommy being made would be valuable for everyone associated with him. Would mean increased status.

  7. @Sidharth Rao That's just what the New York metro area does to folks. I watched the beginning of the Sopranos once and I was like why am I watching this on TV? I knew all those roads.

  8.  @georgesouthwick7000  in the Mob I'm not so sure if it's better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission. Because they're not the type that forgives. So yeah get it cleared with your higher ups before you make a move. They'll tell you what you can and can't do. If they offer an opinion take it as the gospel too.
