That's about as funny as a fart in a spacesuit.

But why do they call it Imperial? They should know better! We use Standard. Even the Empire abandoned Imperial length measurements long ago. Everyone uses Standard now. A swede was responsible for standardizing the inch. The inches he made were so nice they just dominated the industry.

the Earth's magnetic field is generated by the molten iron core of the planet. Which is fairly sizable itself. We cannot make anything even remotely comparable to it now.

@retokaderli9010 I don't think the Earth's magnetic field is weak. Like you say it is sizeable. So it must be powerful to be that big. Magnetic field strength obeys the inverse square law if memory serves me. The field comes from the core of the planet far below us. It is probably much stronger down there. I am no physicist so I do not know about nuclear science. I have heard there is some kind of a relationship between magnetism and electricity though. The particles in the belt all seem to be the charged ones to me too. The electrons and protons. So I imagine the answer has to do with that somehow?

You meet the same nutters online as I do. I try to tell them that they were traveling over 25,000 MPH and it just doesn't seem to click.
