robert retka I'm telling ya. Two pain pills in a hospital cost more than that saw does. The things kids don't know. They may someday though.

@christianpeters3757 I've sawn right handed for so long that using my left hand for sawing feels weird to me now. I'm a dork trying to use a mouse with my left hand too. Because I made the conscious decision years ago to not even try using a mouse right handed. Golfing same deal. Left handed clubs are too hard to come by. I bat lefty though. I definitely hammer left handed too. I swing like a girl with my right arm. I drive left handed. So standard shift is no problem for me. At least in the USA. Using scissors is where us lefties really get screwed. Using right handed moulded handled scissors left handed is torture! I butchered a pair of Fiskars right handed scissors once so they're not too bad. I taught myself to write righty too. I was into calligraphy and that doesn't work too good left handed. Our entire script is designed for right handers. I never did the hook writing thing either.

@christianpeters3757 For a long time I used common sidewinders left handed. I just got tired of eating sawdust though. I never cut freehand either. I always use a speed square. That way I know I have a straight cut. Why make things harder than they need to be? Using a guide isn't the fastest but it is the most precise and consistent. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Showboaters always end up sinking eventually.

Yeah they're a pain in the patotie to get back on if you ever want to put it back on. Any gadget with a spring in it vexes me to no end.

Do as I say, not as I do.

I got a Milwaukee sidewinder circ saw. If their worm drive is anything like it steer clear.

Worm gear saws make good anchors in rocky bottoms.

They put the blade on that side so you don't eat sawdust. They make left handed sidewinder saws too. I have a Porter Cable left handed saw. I'm actually left handed. But I used right handed saws for so long I learned how to saw right handed. Now it don't even feel right to saw left handed to me. I still hammer left handed though.

I don't wait for the blade to stop spinning. Spin, see what I care.
