©™ ALX ⚖ Observations ✍✍ Everyone commenting on this and up in arms about the migration of people should take a reality check. Unless you're a Native American you are a relative of some generation of emigrants who came to this country and are living on land STOLEN from the original indigenous people who had lived on it for thousands of years. And unless you yourself just arrived in the last fifty years or less your original family didn't have to do anything except show up to be allowed in. No tests, no years of waiting, etc. That's all relatively new. They arrived, sat at Ellis or Angel islands, were processed and became Americans in days or a couple of weeks. Migrations are a natural phenomenon of evolution. Fish 🐟 birds 🐦 whales 🐋 people 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 all migrate. You can try to legislate it, but you can't stop it.

That's the out of Africa scenario until scientific evidence proves otherwise. The original Ellis island or Angel island emigrants from European countries had relatives here as do some of the emigrants at the border, or they had some saved funds,as do some of the emigrants at the border now,or they were taken in by churches as would some of the emigrants at the border today. Perhaps you should think of this differently, or look at another perspective. The United States just fired dozens of tomahawk cruise missiles into Syria a week or so ago. They cost 1.5 million dollars each. The missle attack was Illegal under the Geneva Conventions International laws UN Resolutions and NATO charter. You're concerned with about four hundred people trying to escape conflicts in their countries and worried about tax payers monies. Yet are you concerned about your Government shooting off hundreds of millions of dollars at a sovereign Nation to accomplish nothing at all? Because nothing was accomplished and the attack was predicted on a fake chemical attack by White Helmets created by UK Merc company funded by UK Government staged which is obvious as the alleged victims are washed off with water BUT you can't decontaminate clothed people so the entire episode was staged. The alleged victims have come forward to testify to it being staged. You have every right to your opinions and to prioritize what's important to you. For me, I'm for a borderless world. I don't like the idea of the Government giving me permission to walk on the planet I'm living on. Tracking where I am as I cross borders. If you like, or don't mind Uncle Sam wanting to know your every move, that's fine for you. Everyone doesn't feel that way however. Four hundred more people amongst 330,000,000 seem like a miniscule amount. Everyone seems to want to peg these people as trouble makers but it seems to me like they came here to avoid trouble elsewhere. I'll admit I'm far from typical. In the interest of full disclosure I'm a Transnational Militant Atheist Anarchist Marxist Socialist supporting National Liberation groups since age 17 supporting the PIRA RIRA CIRA PFLP AIM Mujahedeen fighting in Afghanistan and then spent 20 years in Federal prison surrounding the support and activities involved. And I agree with W.B. Yeats the Irish writer who observed that "change happens because of unreasonable men, reasonable men live with the status quo, only unreasonable men question the status quo and that's why change happens." Migrations are evolutionary. Birds 🐦 fish 🐟 whales 🐋 people 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 all migrate. You can try to legislate it but you can't. Your vision of America is the status quo, and I'm the unreasonable Man 😎

wesley8173 ©™ ALX 🌍 Reply ✍ I guess my connection is that I'd rather see real people helped with public money than have trillions spent on unnecessary conflicts 17 years in Afghanistan,8 years in Iraq, drone bombings of Pakistan Somalia Yemen countries the US has no declared hostilities with. The overthrow of Qadaffi in Lybia with chaos resulting. You know the US has 200,000+ troops stationed in 800+ bases in 90+ countries and almost none of the citizens of the countries want US troops or bases in their Nations. Politicans in the countries get perks and the Americans get a foothold. That's part of the American Military Industrial Complex part of the Transnational Corporations who finance congressmen and White House campaigns and inturn use the military and CIA NSA FBI to leverage access to resources and markets for the benefit of stockholders equity and dividends and capital gains are dictating foreign policy for Uncle Sam who's dictating foreign policy for NATO coalition and EU members to some extent. If the American people want change the Congress needs to be replaced. How? Vote for anyone other than the INCUMBENTS. In six years you'd have a new Senate and House and nobody running for re-election because nobody is voting for INCUMBENTS. That's a way of forcing term limits on the Congress. However, it's pie in the sky because so few people vote and most are disengaged from what is actually going on. TOO much reliance on Corporate media which sells Washington press releases as news, not the pure propoganda it is. OKAY, that's enough of my rant. Thanks for your input. Clearly my weltanshuung is not your world view. You may think I'm naive. I'm not, I'd just rather see money, spent on positive things than to enhance the bottom lines of Corporations who own the US political system. Have a good night.
