sometimes one wants a DA/Single action with hammer like a revolver , some go further and want steel frame the 92 is good for availability of parts and those reasons and the 1911 is good for what it is but they have variations and many parts working in series each hand fitted to it's own parts basically the glock is best for cost and interchangeability and function make it most practical imo...

literally the cowboy automatic pistol imo (that's why i like it and how it feels to me...

they are nice but each has a few parts that has to work together, the barrel link will break if the barrel does not rub just right on the frame as it recoils back, the barrel lugs have to mesh with the lugs in the slide , the frame has to be for the type barrel because there's standard feed barrel, or ramped and there's either para-clark or the other wilson nowlin shape and another i think ...the frame is cut for which one , then the barrel bushings ...much more hand fitted than the glock for example which has a free barrel to unlock off the slide face and drop against the locking block in the frame far more simple and interchangeable ...basically the 1911 is proprietary, it';s own thing and locked and loaded is weird imo , the grip safety , and other safe method but a double action or striker is just faster to draw always for me/ another rant ...i like 1911 maybe best but also glocks [ just so much more practical as a mass handgun instead of jewelry for man is all] ...

i shot the detonics , the one i shot was accurate and it was like shooting a 9mm [but louder] maybe less than a .357 , like a big cap gun , i think the .357 magnum would make logs and stuff jump more but more snappy too , i like the big whoosh it has sometimes , for me the .45 is like a whack , and it takes care of business , just basic ...in black powder it's about what you'd need minimum for lower velocity and leathal because the mass imo.../ranting

a car motor can run for about 60 seconds (maybe 90) maximum with no oil ...it's important to lube guns imo ...

he's a jew though i could tell since first vid , just feature observation "no offense" like they say
1
put " cap and ball 30 grain"

the fast draw IS a good move to this day imo , to practice it with whatever pistol could win any close range gun fight imo...in military we were young and they handed us military grade stuff and they were like toys we were real gunslingers those days...

i played with airsoft guns to find my favorite 1911 ...at first i had a classic one but i like the modern sights and railed frame , straight backstrap , feed well on the mainspring etc... best ...

for that era the walther ppk was far more practical for EDC concealed anyway (the colt is very heavy compared

...the hammer snags when you quick draw if you don't practice but it can snag in emergency quick draw , the adjustable trigger screw and longer trigger is better for bigger normal size hands...the commander slide is nice too , and can take the same barrel or not if the ramp is the same

the Glock is not really "a big ole brick" the magazine is the fattest part internally and the grip material is thin as far as the slide it just lacks gay styling but many are modified with gay slots and holes maybe those are lighter for fast draw or FA or something EDIT: the 92 magazine is said to actually interchange with the glock dimension if a little fatter tabs are added , the glock 27 with conversion barrels can do anything a snubnose or mac 11 or carbine can do and more ...btw
1
not if dirt or muck get between the hammer and the firing pin but you usually get what you pay for except the glock clone gen 3 stuff is by far unbeatable deals
1
the issue with the officers and smaller is it will "hyper cycle " with a silencer , not possible on them
1
imo it's not the rounds that got better so much , the materials , when you shoot +p and even supersonic the metal wears more if it isn't made for it , they knew hwat they were doing but the old .45 rounds maybe expanded but never sharank, the newer ones are supersonic and expand always to .85 even 1.25" and have sharp claws in the jacket like hooks , ...imo big difference the ammo

thankyou for your service

when i see pistols fired fast lately i always think how some 12 gauge loads do that each shot ,
1
i like the compact stainless INOX with rail dust cover the grip is a little fat though or you could buy about 3 glock clones for the cos...t it looks like the replacement 92 /m9 trigger group parts interchange , if they quit making stainless it'd be collectable but the grip is aluminum either way , maybe only the CZ or one bersa has steel frame btw (in sa/da)
