  2. probably UV , UV will break down anything not uv resistant including resins for fiberglass or carbon fiber etc, plastics rubber some have additives but need paint over the non uv to protect it , sparurethane is the clear for home use that's uv resistant btw one ....edit: i don't know if the clear sparurethane still protect the below layer or just it's own layer i mean the resin under it could still damage darn had to add that though too long/lol

  5. maybe you could design that over top of the external pressure body to equalize the pressure on the hull somehow but i can't chew on it at the moment ....for example a straw would burst with external or internal pressure but if external is 4000psi and internal 4000psi the plastic straw wouldn't burst because its equal pressure both sides i play a burst disc airgun mentally a round for it works similar is all

  9. big difference between being trained or safety and becoming desensitized .... for example in the military maybe one trains to fight but they eventually get shot or blown up etc. or a motorcyclist "trains" to ride 180 mph on the street and soone ror later will crash my point is if /when the end is inevitable a failure the training was desinsitization to get dumb enough to do that much risk more than "training"

  13. if you feed the poor they have ten poor babies each, next a lot of side componenets came from nasa and similar efforts as the sub which increase the human living standard universally for poor especially ,next by the time they got back they made more than 250000 so it was basically a day off or your version weekend next money did not disappear it changed hands so it circulates more than sitting in their bank ?

  23. i think malleability is the term for bend a paper clip for example back and forth and eventually it breaks, with aluminum it's fast a few bends and snap and carbon fiber is very stiff or brittle but the layers are laminated or plies (ply) so with a bow and arrow though the wood or fiberglass is different but a wing of a plane goes up down nonstop and needs retired from the stress , there was warnings of the carbon fiber delaminating by ex-employee iirc....

  24. the thing is he niether knew the concepts OR the component material to use , most have one or other , like catch22 brains because one can build it and the other can only think it and they have to communicate to perform a build together ...he had bad materials and bad reasoning too imo

  25. i started in a machine shop years ago way back , hands on been studying materials all my life and tooling , jigs etc, but the sytdy knowledge hits and it became like my prime but it's a catch 22 life is too short imo edit the design and use of materials looks stupid to me
